Definition:
Information concerning the current status of the sample. Does the sample still exist? Was it discarded/destroyed in analysis or otherwise? Has it degraded over time or been lost?
Note that it is recommended to also indicate the date that the value of the status was revised.

What the access rights are to the sample and/or who to contact about access. Access rights should ideally follow a controlled vocabulary.
